phone calls

I am unable to make or receive phone calls - I can hear the phone ringing but when I or the other person picks up, I cannot hear anything and the person on the other line cannot hear me. Facetime calls end immediately if I try to answer them. This started happening about a week after I updated my iphone 7.

I can’t hear anything on the other end when I call/receive calls I have an iPhone 7 Plus and every time I go to call or FaceTime someone, I can’t hear anything on the other end and they can’t hear me. It is like dead air. I’ve updated my phone and restarted it. How can I fix this problem?
