Hi folks. I hope you are safe and healthy.

I own an old but perfectly working iMac 27" late 2009. Everything is working correctly, but I'm worried with the MCP heatsink temperature. After using the computer for some time, the MCP temp goes up to 65-70°C. The computer has been opened and cleaned only a few months ago, I don't think dust is playing a factor. Outside air temp is always between 22 - 32.

Is this normal? Please advise, what should I do.

I have seen similar requests answered very well in this forum. I really appreciate such help in advance.

Awaiting advice.

Yeah, most modern programs like Chrome use a lot of Memory and Processing power. You also said you have some professional work on the web, so that is possibly weighing the machine down. Maybe it's time to upgrade? They just released brand new iMacs, and if you want something more affordable, you can find a used model from 2016 or 2017 thats pretty affordable.
