Yes, as stated all such calls are scams. Always.
Apple does not make such calls.
All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

thanks to all and it's exactly what I thought it was, a SCAM. When I got a call back from "Martin B" (the name he used which is an actual Apple person from the search I did on Apple as he had cases) and advised I turned the digitally recorded call, phone numbers and notes I took over to the FBI and FCC he hung up really fast!

the scam calls come from 408 area code with a 956 prefix then different last four digits. My IPhone says the call is from Milpitas, CA
