Brand new mac book will not switch on
Help!!! My new mac book pro does not automatically turn on and wont charge.
Any suggestions please?

Until then please read and follow all the instructions in If your Mac battery status is "Not Charging" including all the links at the bottom, finally followed by If your Mac battery won’t charge.
Make sure you're using the correct power adapter and cable: Find the right power adapter and cable for your Mac.
If your brand new Mac still won't turn on, continue with If your Mac doesn't turn on. Read and follow each of its steps, including all the links within it, all the way through and including Step 4, which directs you to:
If your Mac starts up to a blank screen
Read and follow each of it steps also, all the way through and including the end, which takes you to:
"If you still need help, please contact Apple Support."
... which takes you back to the beginning.
