Why does the Safari extension "Translate Me" all of a sudden place the Google Translate Bar at top of web page?
I had installed the Safari extension "Translate Me" [ it came from App Storeit is by Side Tree Software ] on my powerbook. It shows up intermittently. But it will prevent you from logging in to some web sites, it will allow you to auto fill in your username, then the entire web site freezes up. And to work around it you must delete your cache and history. And it may just show up again. And it will just appear at the top of the web page with other sites. Why is this Google branded stuff showing up? I have not installed Chrome or any other Google apps. Just gmail and /earth. Does Google now have access to my data through this app? Is my security compromised? And just how did this get through the App Store review? There is a work around, but it is easiest to just delete it. It will be in your applications folder and that is where you must delete it. You could I guess just turn off the application. But I do not want to have anything to do with it ever again.
