I have three of these part number: MC297LL/A
Model number: A1238
They all need batteries and I’m not finding what I need conclusively on Amazon.
Does anyone know the part number for the battery? I’m finding: 616-0232 696-0106 B5LAA B6DAH or 616-0227 616-0229 616-0230 EC008 EC008-1 EC008-2 but neither seem to be correct...
It is some time since I bought one of these, and I've no idea about part numbers, but my recollection is that for 5th gen. onwards there is essentially a choice between thick and thin batteries. The 7th gen. 160Gb iPod would use the thinner battery.

The 450mAh battery looks to be more appropriate. I think the other is a fatter battery for the fatter cases that were used on the 5th gen. and the original larger capacity 6th gen.
