When will Linksys or any other company besides Eero offer Apple HomeKit support? Currently, I can’t find a router that supports wifi6 and support HomeKit. Did Apple start something that they have no intention of following through on??
With Wi-Fi 6 being new, it may take a while before networking HW manufacturers start producing products that also support Apple's HomeKit. When is something only those manufacturers can tell us. Why would it be Apple who would have to follow through with this? ... especially since they got out of the networking HW business.

It's not up to Apple to decide for other companies what they may or may not do. Your question should be directed to Linksys or any other company that you might be thinking about.
As far as WiFi 6, that is still pretty much the "bleeding edge". If you want to try to live there, you should expect to get bloody. Might be wise to consider waiting a bit for things to settle down and stabilize.
Thanks for the quick replies. Not trying to point fingers at Apple but they do have a dog in the fight. I would expect them to work with partners and help push HomeKit support in their products. WI-FI 6 is new but not looking to purchase a new router(which I need) that will become old technology within a year. Eero doesn’t even support time machine. I'm thinking of the Nighthawk router from Costco since that company has ‘suggested’ they will support HomeKit.
No doubt Apple has approached other companies, as they have done with AirPlay.
But....it's not up to Apple to decide for other companies what they may or may not do. Remember, the other companies will be paying Apple for HomeKit technology, not vice versa.
Eero doesn’t even support time machine
Not sure what you mean. Time Machine works just fine with a Time Capsule on my neighbors Eero system. I set it up for him.
