Screen does not go off during calls making it impossibe to talk

Hi. Recently I started having problems with screen of my iPhone 6S not going off during phone calls. Because of that I keep accidently pressing the "Mute" button with my cheek in the middle of the calls which is very frustrating.

The problems started about one week ago, about the same time I upgraded iOS on my iPhone to 13.6.1 (btw, is it possible to check when exactly my iOS has been upgraded)?

Anybody with similar issue or hints how to resolve it? Thanks in advance.

It sounds as if your proximity sensor may be failing. However, start by taking off any cover and/or screen protectors you may have on the phone and test. If that doesn't make a difference, contact Apple to have your phone evaluated.
