I want to buy an Apple TV device for my 10 year old Visio TV. Do I want the 4K or HD version?

If your TV isn’t capable of 4K resolution, then both models will output 1080p or lower.

If you plan on getting a 4K TV in the foreseeable future, then the Apple TV 4K may be worth the slightly higher purchase price.

If you have a Dolby Atmos receiver, then you may want the Apple TV 4K for that capability.
