I bought an iPhone SE 2020 and they transferred the contacts at the store but not the groups. I have made a group in ICloud. When I go to Contacts on my phone I see that I can checkmark only that group and those names appear, but how do I send a text to only that group of people?

Please use third party apps for creating groups and send texts, emails etc
Apps that are created and maintained by vendors / developers other than Apple in Apple App Store and that follow the development criteria required by Apple app stores are third-party apps.
So, Messenger or WhatsApp, by the above definition, are third party apps.
Messenger or WhatsApp are basically Social Networkings apps.
What I meant was that there are many third party apps for Contacts which are on Apple App Store which uses your Contact List and provide hosts of other features that you are looking for. One of them is maintaining groups.
I know this is dumb, but do you mean like Messenger or Whatsap when you say 3rd party apps?
