Cannot verify server identity
A box with “cannot verify server identity” pops up every 10-30 seconds on my iPhone. It says that the identity of the email imap.gmail.com cannot be verified. This is not my email.

I finally contacted Apple support and the Tech walked me thru a solution, Since I have an outlook email account I had to go into mail under my iPhone/iPad settings and sign back in with my outlook password. That seem to fix the problem. Tara218, I've not had that problem, sorry.
review this thread, hopefully that helps
The same thing started happening to me today, not just for this server address but for 2 or 3 others as well. This makes my iPhone pretty much useless. I didn’t make any changes to the system, and everything worked well, as supposed to, until this message bombardement started today. What do I need to do to correct this?
iOS 14.2 here. Why the f*** does Apple pop up that message EVERY TEN SECONDS, rendering my iPhone totally useless. Even temporarily switching off the mail account is hard this way. Security, blahblahblah sure, but whoever decided on this interval urgently needs to be fired.
same thing on my phone was fine first thing this morning then just started popping up I tried turning my phone on and off but it’s still happening.
I took it off wifi and the problem went away. It was a public wifi.
This is not a public wifi problem. I am in my own wifi with a password and I still have this message.
this is not helpful. I am getting this problem all the time. I am on my own wifi with a password and it sill pops up to be an annoyance. I need Apple to fix this problem
There’s always something
I get the same message on iPad and iPhone too
Tara218 I'm getting a similar issue with an email address that I'm totally unfamiliar with. Is there a way to delete/disconnect from my devices?
