Why can I not move my folders

I can’t move any folders on my macbook air, they stay at the right corner. How can I fix this?

Hey charity_,

If we understand, you're unable to move folders around on your desktop as they seem to be locked to the right side. If that's right, it sounds like you're possibly using the stacks feature. With this feature, it groups your files into folders which are then kept on the right side. Check out the following guide for more details and steps on turning that feature off: Organize files in stacks on Mac

Let us know how that goes.

Take care.
