Thank you for providing those screenshots. It appears your Apple Watch is trying to update to watchOS 6, which does require an iPhone 6s or later with at least iOS 13. With your iPhone 6 on iOS 12.4.8 you have the most up to date software for your device. Are you able to get back to the main menu for your Apple Watch and exit the software prompt?

That's a great question and we'd be happy to offer some additional guidance. As long as you ignore the updates for the software update eligible for your Apple Watch they will remain compatible. An Apple Watch that needs to update to watchOS 6 will need a paired iPhone that can run iOS 13, so an iPhone 6s or later.
