Hey
i can receive calls and hear the ringer and the caller talking but the mute button (not theSide one but the one when the phone is actually ringing) is on and I can’t get it off
I have turned phone on and off a few times, reset it, checked all settings and all l good there
hopefully someone has advice

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. If we understand, you're having an issue with your microphone muting during phone calls. We can help with this. You've completed some great steps so far too. Just to be sure we're on the same page, when you say you reset your iPhone what steps did you take exactly? Does the same thing happen if you connect headphones? If you open the Voice Memos app, are you able to record a voice memo and hear it in the recording: Use the Voice Memos app
