Can RAM module touch Mac mini bottom cover when reinstalled?

Metal "arm" holding RAM module broke off.

RAM module is installed and working but will not stay down.

Can the module touch the inside of the "cover" on bottom of Mac mini when it is replaced?

Mac Pro (trash can) dimm slot repair? I have upgraded the memory in my Mac Pro (late 2013, trash can design). Unfortunately I seem to have bent two of the pins in the dimm slot so the module in that slot is not being recognised by the Mac. Memory in the other slots work OK, so the only problem is that I missing 16GB of ram that I was expecting to see in my system, so I have 48GB rather than 64GB. Can the bent pins be repaired, or the dimm slot replaced? Any idea of the likely cost of this repair if I take the Mac to my local Apple Store?

iMac 2020 27 inch RAM door will not go on/close after replacing RAM Hello, yesterday I replaced the standard 8GB RAM that the brand new 27 inch iMac 2020 came with. I closed the inside RAM cage just fine and locked it back in with the two levers/buttons on the side to secure it. The issue is the silver square RAM door will not go back on! I've even tried completely removing all the RAM, then locking the inner cage back into place; and then tried to put the RAM door back on. It will not go on. What can I do? The best I can do is get maybe one corner on. I can see on other websites there are a couple of other people that have had the same problem and solved it using significant force. However, I really am pushing quite hard and am afraid to break something. I cannot take it to a shop as all shops are closed during lockdown. Should I try to return it?

Get the Mac mini repaired.

Or leave the slots empty.

DIMMs not locked down tend to work loose over time and loose memory makes for a flaky computer.

But without looking at this Mac and at this fault, nobody here can make predictions about stability, hazards, fires, or damage.

I have been told that the problem can not be fixed.

As noted, the Mac mini is functioning with the RAM module still tilted up.

It appears that if the cover is replaced the module will touch the inside to the cover.

Is there a concern that the cover will damage the module (short it, etc)?

The cover is plastic but part if it appears to have a metallic surface.

Does the cover provide some type of RF shielding?

The warning about loosing modules is appreciated.
