Removed person on ‘Find My’ keeps coming back

Hello, I’m really hoping someone can help me!

Years ago myself & a few friends went on holiday together and we all added each other on the old Find my Friends app in case we got separated. We all eventually removed each other but I still have 1 person under the ‘People’ tab, now on the combined ‘Find My’ app and I can’t remove them. If I do remove them and then close the app they reappear again. Please see the screenshots!

Have tried deleting them as a contact, then they’re just there as a phone number instead of a name.

Neither of us can see each other’s location but it’s still bugging me.

I’m not sharing my location with anyone (I have it turned on but if I check Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Share My Location, it is on but where it says “People who can see your location will appear here” there are no names or numbers listed.

I have tried logging into Find my Friends on iCloud.com - this person still shows there as well but there is no option as far as I can see to remove them on the desktop version.
