Not getting emails from Instagram

I'm trying to reset my password on Instagram account that was set up using an icloud email. The reset emails are not coming through. Has anyone had this issue and how have you solved it?

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Can you use another rescue email or do you have to use the email that you signed up for an account?
