HP neverstop LASER 100X driver install help please

the ADD A PRINTER dialog states there is no driver in the Mac OS for this printer.

i have downloaded the attached dmg file. it appears to cover the OS that i am on (10.13). the device is plugged in. i have restarted the device. however when i try to install the software the printer itself seems to just cycle the paper feed endlessly so i have to close out of the driver install procedure.

and even before this when it was trying to install the driver the driver install just cycles and does not install.

does anyone know what is going on or how to fix this?

THANKS

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

hey man. thanks a lot for your help. so i was able to load the drivers by doing as you suggested and then pulling down to the last menu item. and then i think i selected one of the HP applications or something.

anyway i am booted in normally and i see the printer in the pulldown to print to. and the printer is now in the dock.

but if i print from SAFARI i hear the printer cycle and feed something but it is like it simply flushes the print down an electronic toilet. nothing shows up in the printer queue and nothing is printed.

any ideas?

the 100X is connected via USB hub. i just disconnected it and it shows up as disconnected.

i /was/ going to try to try to print via wifi but i have to figure out how to set up a printer for wifi. or how to print to wifi because when i am on the phone or the laptop it just seems to do this?

anyway. the HP 8630 prints no problem. technically i think it is plugged in via USB to my TIME CAPSULE instead of a USB HUB. i suppose i could swap them?

so weird.
