Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

You don't have to look up an "apple employee id." The call is not from Apple.

Apple will not inform you directly that your account is compromised. You will find out when you attempt to login, and the attempt fails.

What is most annoying is the non stop calling today. I don’t answer and I have blocked 15 numbers they have called me from and they are still calling and leaving messages. Perhaps I will find d a way to block any number with the same area code.

All of those calls are attempts to steal your Apple ID credentials. Apple will never "cold call" a customer with that, or any other information. You can safely ignore them/block the numbers.

They gave you random numbers as an Apple employee ID, nothing more.
