How do you turn off automatic alignment in Preview app? 10.14.4

Very frustrating. I can't find the option in preferences for Preview on how to turn off the automatic alignment. You know the yellow lines. The preferences menu only looks like this:


Please help.

I am using an older version of Preview, but in my my version, at least, holding the command key down while dragging an object prevents it from automatically snapping into alignment with another object.

Sorry, I do not think it is possible.

I only see the guides when a object is centered with another:



But I am not prevented from placing the object anywhere.

Also nothing in documentation or help menu for alignment guides for annotations:
