I am in possession of an iPhone XS that I purchased from advertisements on one of the websites.
Bought cheap because with iCloud lock, I was told that I can unlock this lock afterwards.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be practically impossible.
My question now is: what can I do when I have no contact with the owner of the iPhone?

Recycle it.
You will never be able to use it.
If you don’t want to recycle it, you can use it as a paper weight or door stop. You will never use it as a phone.
It’s not that Apple “overlooked” this need ...
... rather it’s an intentionally-designed way to make stolen devices worthless.
It works well.
However, it will NOT impede a legitimate after-purchase sale and transfer.

If you keep it on a shelf, it will be there forever as there will be no way to deactivate an activation lock. It is up to the owner to set up the find my app before it is lost or stolen to be able to track it if they want to do so.
You can never get it to work so it has no value.
Apple will not help you.

I think I'll go to the apple store or anything and will talk with them. Maybe they will help me with contacting previous owner.
So I bought it unnecessarily from what I can see.
I was told you had to unlock it that's why it was so cheap.
Well, it will be lying in the shelf until there is some way to deactivate the lock.
As for Apple - Security is perfect, however if that iPhone could be stolen or lost why wasn't it tracked or something?
I think is not time for recycling it yet. Just can't believe in that

Apple isn't going to do that. I'd be worried if they did.
