bluetooth mouse only works when setting page is open

Hi, I am using bootcamp and windows 10. Suddenly my bluetooth mouse only works when the settings page is open.. and sometimes not even then. I tried everything:

power management broadcom network adapter
broadcom driver back to earlier version
bluetooth radio on enable
bootcamp windows support software newly installed

I am running out of options.. every other post finally solved the problem with one of the above measure.. What else can I do?

You will need a USB Mouse temporarily.

Un-pair the BT mouse from Windows.
Un-pair the BT mouse from macOS.
Pair the mouse in macOS and test.
If it works, then test in Windows (without pairing in Windows).

Good morning,

I paired the BT mouse in MacOS and it works.. it does not work in Windows. I did not pair as suggested. After pairing the mouse worked for a short time in windows and quit again.. It started working again after opening the bluetooth setting page until I hit a key on the keyboard. This can be repeated multiple times.. opening settings page and use the mouse until I hit a key..

What is brand.model of your BT mouse?

Does the mouse work properly in macOS?

It is a 2017 12“ mac. It is a mx25 mouse and worked just fine until 2 weeks ago. I did try on Mac OS but it was not recognized at all..?

Hi, connecting a usb mouse works in windows.. What should I do next? I assume my bluetooth adapter does not work properly?

I am not 100% sure, but yes there was a windows update.. I read somewhere, that the Broadcom driver is the reason, but changing that to an older one did not solve the problem..
