Genius Playlist greyed out on mac

Hi I have a 27" imac Retina 5K running iOS Catalina 10.15.6. I am trying to make a Genius Playlist using the Music App on my iMac like I used to do using iTunes. I want to create these and then transfer them onto my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The option to create a Genius Playlist is greyed out. Why? And how do I fix it?

Cannot Transfer Playlist to iPhone I made a playlist on my Mac. It is a pretty long playlist, 854 songs. Originally, I was able to see it on my iPhone just fine. When I added some more songs to it on my Mac, it disappeared on my iPhone and I have been unable to find a way to fix this problem. iTunes playlists wont sync in finder so I have an iPhone and a Mac... I add a playlist in iTunes when I try to add that playlist to my iPhone it doesnt show up in finder...my older playlists are there but not any new playlists I create... this system worked perfect now I have to use finder and iTunes/music? how do I add a playlist from music on my Mac to music on my iPhone

Genius Playlists on both PC and iPad I have recently got an ipad and am very impressed with it. I have iTunes on my PC and apart from my custom playlists, itunes has generated Genius playlists which I am rather impressed with. How can I get Genius playlists on my iPad? I have Googled the question and haven't found an answer. Many thanks

I found my answer and here it is in case anyone else has the same problem in 2020.

Make sure your focus on the mac is on Apple Music app. In the Music app on your Mac, choose File > Library > Turn On Genius (or Turn Off Genius).
