Why do Quicktime and Preview not have that little black circle/ball underneath them to tell me they are open?
Why are these 2 programs not displaying that black ball underneath them to show that they are open and running? Do they need to be open at all times for the OS to work? This powerbook is 6 days old, a 16" 2020 model running Catalina 10.15.6. I have tried to search within Apple Support and I have also looked for an answer on any web page anywhere. I can not even find where someone has asked a question about this. I am so very surprised that Apple has never notice this and has not even made a commetn abou it either. [ I run a security software add-on that deletes a lot of stuff when ever I turn my macbook pro off. This is a work requirement. And it is always telling me that Quicktime and Preview are open. Then I force quit them and run that software again. ]
