When using VNC to another Mac and copy/paste function, "Copying from (Mac name)" shows up

Hi folks. I can't seem to figure out why this is happening. I use RealVNC (and other products) to remote from Mac to Mac. When I'm remoted into another Mac and I want to copy and paste something ONLY on the remote machine (locally on that machine), as soon as I hit copy in the remote window, the Mac that I'm on shows "Copying from (Remote Mac Name)". I don't want that at all. I just want to do it locally on the Mac I'm remoted to. Sometimes these are giant file folders and they start wanting to copy to the remote Mac as well which is obviously problematic. I'm guessing this has to do with some clipboard functionality but I can't figure out how to make it stop. Help VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

If you are using VNC between Macs on the same LAN segment, why not use Apple's built-in Screen Sharing application (/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications) with the remote Mac's System Preferences : Sharing : Screen Sharing selection enabled? Then you can copy/paste, and drag and drop files between Macs.

I don't use RealVNC, and someone that does, may respond with further insight to your situation. As we are fellow users volunteering our time, the time to respond to your post is variable.
