I can't update some apple apps such as iMovie

It says 'iMovie cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID' How can I update these?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

The issue you mention has been reported by several posters on this forum, following the recent update. I haven't seen a solution yet.
