'Cannot load message' error in mail

When I open my mail on icloud.com in windows, I am able to view emails at first. But after one or two mails I get this pop up with the error 'Cannot load message'. If I click it away and reload the mail I can read it however. This popup makes it impossible to read my emails. It happens on both chrome and microsoft edge browsers. Chrome gives the notification 'not secure' for icloud.com.

Hope someone can help!

Windows, Windows 6

Update: I bit the bullet today and called Apple. They tried the usual: clear cache, browser, etc. I was polite and persistent, pointing back to this forum to indicate that browsers, machines, etc. didn't seem to have anything to do with it. Thanks to all of you for posting so that the problem was clear. My advisor indicated that this will go to the engineers, so maybe it will actually get fixed. I'll update when I have any other news.

This iCloud mail problem started for me 3 or 4 weeks ago. It is bad on Safari on my macbook, but I can double click multiple times and get the content of an email but on my windows machine with Firefox I literally have to refresh the page to get 1 mouse-click of functionality. I have reported it and my account was, with my permission, put in some mode where information is available to support staff. So far...no change.

Although I DO have Outlook on my Windows machine, I access Apple mail through iCloud for Windows in my browser, not directly through Outlook.

Although some of us DO use Outlook, others apparently don't. This problem also appears through all of the different browsers and off-shoots (I use the Vivaldi form of chrome/chromium).

The major commonality so far as I can tell is that we are all trying to access Apple Mail. Some use Macs, some use Windows machines. Some use one browser, others a different one, and some have reported problems on multiple browsers on the same machine.

I link to Microsoft 365 Outlook as well as viewing my Apple Mail through a browser. I rarely view it in Outlook.

My primary browser is a variant of Chrome called Vivaldi. (It is more secure AND does not give all of that information to Google.)

(I also at times use Firefox, but not enough to know if this problem is present in that browser.

I do not use Microsoft Edge.

I will not even HAVE Google Chrome on my computer. Chrome feeds too much information to Google.)

It may be that this is an issue present only on Chromium based browsers, or it may be more widespread.

I have to agree with randylus. I love apple, check out my e-mail --> tbrown93@me.com - yes I've been around BEFORE mobile me came out. Other platforms out there work so well. You've got great equipment and a great software platform, then everything gets tied together with icloud. Does great for photos, notes, etc, but e-mail has always been weak. That and family sharing, that's a bumpy ride there, my biggest problem there has been starting the journey prior to icloud and having an apple ID having previous purchases and now having an icloud account being different than that original apple ID, and they won't merge, so data and app sharing has been messy, even after succumbing to going to the help desk to get it straightened out.

ok so this is about the e-mail loading issue, mine still is not resolved with chrome, it works in the browser mentioned earlier, Vivaldi. I prefer chrome as at work we do a lot of collaboration on google and chrome works best, seems like it shouldn't make that big of difference being web based and Chrome, edge, safari, firefox, exlplorer are pretty major platforms that should be expected to work with.
