Good morning, I am reaching out to find out if any of the apple watches are water proof? I am looking at possibly getting one for a family member and she works at a school so she needs it to be some sort of water proof/resistant . Also I am needing to know if I can purchase the watch without purchasing a service for the watch and only use Bluetooth?

All Apple watches except for the original are rated as 50 Meters water resistant.
They are suitable for swimming and bathing, but should not be used for snorkeling, diving or around high pressure water sources (shower, pressure washer, etc).
The watch is available in GPS only and GPS+Cellular variants.
If you purchase the GPS+Cellular model, you are not required to carry cellular service on the watch if you don't want to.
