Old Mac book reset

I’m recycling a 2007 MacBook but want to make sure it is reset properly for security reasons. How is this performed on this device

With original DVD media; start up w/ & use install-restore disc #1.

Otherwise see if Mac OS X newer than Lion was installed.


It may start in macOS Recovery.. see reinstall instructions.

Easier if you can: Use original DVD media ~ to erase HDD.


If you re-install anew, you can exit the installer so new

owner can personalize the macOS.
