liquid damage, trackpad and keyboard not working

so i spilled a energy drink on my macbook pro (early 2015). it turns on and seems fine but the trackpad and keyboard occasionally dont work. if i can connect a mice and external keyboard it works fine. i was hoping its a case of giving the connections on the motherboard and trackpad a clean may fix the problem. any advice on whether this will work and best way to go about it would be greatly appreciated
