Updating Ipod to new apple id and password

I cannot get my ipod to accept and update to my new apple id and password. How can I update the information? i have typed in the new information, and it will not accept or update.

iPod version 9.3.5 I've changed BOTH my Apple ID and my password. My iPod is still showing the old ID, AND I do not remember the old password. When I go to Settings on the iPod, the iCloud account still shows the old ID next to my name and the icon. When I tap <name, ID> under iCloud, the next screen shows "Apple ID" and the old ID. When I tap "Contact Information", the next screen shows the icon and my name at the top with the new ID. I cannot sign in to iTunes from the iPod because it's linked to the old ID and old password. I cannot "Sign Out" of the iPod as advised in previous threads, because it wants the old password. I would very much appreciate advice! How can I get my current Apple ID and associated password onto this iPod?

I cant setup my ipod I have a ipod touch 5th gen and I dont know how to setup as a new device it says enter your credentials to authenticate this device and I entered my apple ID and it loads and stops loading and stays there can you help me please?

I need help with my old iPod touch, I left it sitting for a while and I can’t remember what the password or full Apple ID thing is I just want to reset it and put it on my current Apple ID
