RDP Printing Problem with HP
Good day.
Faced a problem with printing via RDP.
Introductory
Infrastructure:
WAN 1 (Data Center)
1. There is a physical server (server name "Serv01") OS Windows Server 2016.
2. The Hyper-V role is raised on "Serv01".
3. A virtual server is deployed on "Serv01" (virtual server name is "upr-ts01") on Windows Server 2016.
4. On "Serv01" the role of "AD DS" + "RDS" + "Terminal license server" was raised.
* AD DS - Active Directory Domain Service.
* RDS - Remote Desktop Server.
5. In "AD DS" A domain account "User01 *" has been created to use "upr-ts01".
6. Added rights to the user "User01":
- RDP Users
- Printers operator
WAN 2 (Office) Client machines to connect to upr-ts01:
- Windows 7 Pro
- Windows 10 Pro
- macOS
- Linux Mint
Printers connected via USB to client machines:
- HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w;
- HP Laser Jet P1006;
WAN 2 to WAN 1 uses VPN L2TP IPsec.
To connect to "upr-ts01" use:
For 4 Windows clients - RDP;
For 2 macOS clients - RD Client;
For 1 Linux Mint client - Remmina.
No problem for Windows clients.
For Linux Mint clients, no problem.
For macOS
clients:
- Client 1 + HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w - no problem
- Client 2 + HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w - When printing from macOSD itself, no problem.
But
There is a printing problem with "upr-ts01"
When printing any type of documents (docx, excel, pdf, jpeg), the message “Can't Open/private/var /spool/cups/tmp / ************** "
Steps taken to resolve the issue Client 2 (macOS) + HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w:
1. In the print settings, set the "Print as images" parameter;
2. Removed the printer through system settings and added;
3. Reset the printing system and add a printer;
4. Deleted the printer in the system settings and installed the driver using the official HP website;
Did not help.
Later I was
informed that they were transferring the macOS system from HDD to SSD using
Time Machine. The problem occurs with macOS on SSD.
Booted
macOS from HDD. Printing problems with "upr-ts01" - no.
How can this problem be corrected?
