Problem with storage

My iPad has lately had a problem with storage capacity. I keep getting storage full notifications. I have not changed anything - no new apps, in fact have deleted several. I’ve looked at storage management and it seems to me that “Other” is inordinately large - like over 7G. I don’t know if there’s a way to reduce it. Anyway something has lately changed that makes this iPad nearly useless. Could Zoom have anything to do with this situation? That’s the last thing added to the system but that was a while ago.

Hi, Almw!

One of the biggest components of the 'Other' storage is streaming. If you use services like Spotify, Netflix, etc., your device will create caches in order to ensure smooth playback. Since these aren't 'downloads,' your device stores them as Other. While you can't get rid of 'Other' entirely, you can make some space by clearing data and history from Safari or other browsers, deleting messages from iMessage, or, if you're really desperate for space, backing up your device to the cloud or a computer and completely resetting it.

Hope this helps!
