Mac Fan Ventilation

Hi,

Is it okay if I am using my MacBook Air 2019 while the fan is on and the lid is closed?

I am not really sure how the ventilation of the mac even works, but I do know the purpose of the fan is just to move air molecules around the CPU to cool it.

Yes, it's fine to use your Mac in clamshell mode with the fan running (actually, the fan is always running – it's just that at the idle speed of ~1,500-2,000 rpm you cannot really hear it, you only hear it when it speeds up).
