iMac motherboard configuration

Hi please could you tell me if I have iMac with 16 Gb ram what chips does it have are all 4 slots full and inside are four 4g chips or two slots are empty and inside are two 8g chips

Click the About this Mac and select the Memory tab and it will show you the layout of the RAM installed. For example here is mine on my 2020 27" iMac.

Why no remove the existing DIMMs and inspect it. Also, identify the year of the iMac. RAM installed in most iMacs should be installed in matched pairs and all iMacs have a maximum RAM capacity, this spec varies by the years. In addition, iMacs have been in. production since 1998 in hundreds of configurations, so don't assume we magically know what you have.
