I pre-ordered Chuck Palahniuk’s new book The invention of Sound. It was supposed to be released on September 8 when I click on it in my library it says it is not available in my country or region but I know the book is out and available so I’m a bit confused why I cannot access it. Please help. Thank you.

Publishers decide in which countries their books should be available via Apple's store. If one you want is not in your own country store, contact the publisher or get the book from another store (like Amazon, you read their books via the Kindle app).

I also pre-ordered it. So if it becomes available on apple at any point in the future they will automatically charge me for it. So i am hesitant to order it through another provider. Is there a way to cancel a pre-order?
I’m having the same problem. like U said, I know it’s available thru other platforms, but why can’t we get it? I thought I was buying an e-book. is it possible we both accidentally tried to order a hardcopy..?

You can't order a hardcopy from Apple, they have never sold paper books, only ebooks.
