Unable to activate FaceTime
I am unable to activate my FaceTime and while trying it I am getting “an error occurred during activation “ please help me out !

Ya I have tried all the above mentioned steps but still unable to use FaceTime . When ever I switch on after switching off the FaceTime option in the setting it ask to send a activation message But after I touch on “OK” it says “ an error occurred during activation “ .
1) I Have tried On both Cellular data as well as on WiFi
2) how can I check that
3) yes definitely I am able to send and receive messages
4) no both are actually not working
Btw , I tried it with a gmail rather than AppleID (which is my number) and maybe it has been activated. Does it make any changes ?
Since FaceTime is an Apple Service, you'll have to use your actual Apple ID to activate it.
In Settings/FaceTime/Send&Receive you should see, which phone number or mail address is selected for this service.
My AppleID is my mobile number and I have added a gmail address too. So while activating it with Apple ID it was showing error but when I switched to email for activation maybe it is activated as now I am not getting any error .
Are you using cellular data or Wi-Fi?
If Wi-Fi, is something blocking the contact to Apple Servers?
Can you send and receive SMS messages? Have you been able to activate iMessage?
If there are no more activation errors, did you successfully send an iMessage or place a FaceTime Call yet?
Yes I have placed FaceTime calls without any hiccups. Btw thnx for helping.
