nfc not connecting with terminals

Everything appears to be working. Online diags say Everything is ok. Wallet opens card, I’d works and icon to place near reader shows but it fails to connect to any terminal to complete transaction. No error message appears the icon just sits their.

Its as though it thinks it is working but no signal is getting out. Antenna dislodged maybe ? I did drop it onto a wooden floor from about 3 feet a few weeks ago but it has a Spigen shock proof case on. Trouble is I’ve never used Wallet on this phone before so I don’t know if it’s ever worked. Options ?

We cannot troubleshoot NFC issues here. Option one is make an appointment with the nearest Apple Store Genius Bar for an evaluation. option B is go here - Contact Support to see if they can run a diagnostics while you chat.

When you try to use your Card at an NFC Terminal are you double tapping your power button to bring up Wallet and the card you want to use, before you tap your phone to the NFC Terminal Reader in Store? Do you know if the Store you are attempting to pay with your phone is Apple Pay accessible?

If you tried it at an Apple Store, you should have showed them it's not working. You were in the most perfect of locations to get support.

Yes to all of that. I’ve even tried it at an Apple store. It’s bizarre as it clearly thinks it’s working ok
