Copied .mov files from one USB to another. Plays fine on the original, wont play on copy.

Hi. Tried doing this twice but it is still not recognised. www suggesting I have lost End of file, so quicktime wont play it, but how do I get a whole working copy? Copied several files, half copied fine and work, half dont. Thanks ever so much.

Are both USB flash drives using the same file system (disk format)?

FAT-32 has a 4 GB file size limit, meaning e.g. a 5 GB file wouldn’t be copied in its totality.

Use exFAT instead, if you want wide compatibility.

Use Mac OS Extended (HFS+) if you only need compatibility with Macs.

Use APFS if you only need compatibility with newer Macs (High Sierra or later).
