Covid 19 Opt Out

Hello, I am really good at software updates on my iphone. But for personal reasons, I don't want to participate in Covid 19 tracking. If I download the latest update, will it allow me a place to opt out and not be tracked? Thanks!

You don't have to opt out. It's an opt-in system. It is disabled by default.

Update iOS 13.7 So your latest update will install Covid tracking whether we want it or not? Seems to me if we made the choice not to download the app we may not want it. Is this being forced upon us? Will there be an option for update that doesn’t include this Covid tracing?
