iMac

I have a late 2015 27 inch iM. I have two 4GB 1867MHz DDR3 in the memory slots. I am installing two 8GB 1867MHz DDR3 DIMMs. Should I leave the original 4GB in two of the slots? Or should I take them out and just have the two 8GB?

Thanks,

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Install the new RAM in the empty slots and leave the factory modules to give you 24GB. That what I did with my 2017 27-incher.
