Can i magnetically attach a pencil to my ipad 7th gen?

There is no magnetic connection for the original Apple Pencil which is the version that the 7th Gen iPad uses. That is how the iPad also charges the 2nd Gen pencil. That being said, the iPad 7th Gen uses the 1st Gen pencil and it charges through the Lightning Port on the iPad and does not have a way of staying with the iPad without a case or some other 3rd party devices to attach it with.

Apple Pencil for 7th generations connects via the lightning port for charging.
