Headphones not working on IPhone 8 plus

My headphones stopped working on my iPhone 8 Plus and when I plug them in my phone doesn’t recognize it. It’s doesn’t even pop up when I check Airplay with my headphones in. I cleaned out my port and restarted my phone a couple times and I’m not sure if this is a port issue cause my charger still works fine when I charge it. So I don’t know what the issue is.

Turns out the problem was just with my headphones. So you might just need to get a new pair. If you have any other apple products such as an iPad, or a friend/ family who has an iPhone you can try your headphones on them before buying new ones to be sure the problem is just with your headphones. Hope this helps
