Renaming a Shortcut

I have created a shortcut and saved it on my iOS home screen. How do I rename it? Another question/answer on subject this said to open the shortcut for editing, but how do I do that? It seems I first have to open the Shortcuts app and then re-add the shortcut to the home screen with the desired name, but then I have two shortcuts on my home screen: one with the old name and one with the new name. So I have to then delete the one with the old name. Can't I just rename the existing shortcut without going through this routine?

Hi Ken,

We understand that you'd like to rename the shortcuts you've created, and have the name change on the Home screen as well. At this time, the old shortcut would need to be removed from the Home screen, however, we encourage you to submit feedback, if this is something you'd like to see change in the future. While our teams can't respond to all feedback, they do read it, and it can be submitted here:

Thanks so much for your input. Best regards!
