HI! Hoping someone can help. I finished creating a 20 second intro and selected a font for the title page and when I open the file in FCPX, the font I selected is used. When I export the intro to my computer and open it, the font selection has reverted back to the default font for the title option I selected. How do I have the font I selected, render in the final exported version of the intro?

Delete render files. Delete Preferences. And validate your fonts in Font Book.
You verified the the font in Font Book? What FCP version and OS is this?
I'm having this same problem. I set a title to one font (Avenir), and when I export it's reverted back to Helvetica. Also if I change the font to Avenir, quit the app, and reopen the font will revert back to Helvetica. I've tried the steps you recommend and it's still happening.
Another related problem is with the "card" title. It looks one way in my project but the exported version the text spacing changes.

Which title are you using? I can't reproduce this with the Basic Title.
Yes it says the font is validated and safe to use. There are no other font issues in Font Book.
It is FCP 10.4.9 (latest version) and MacOS 10.15.6 (latest version)
If I make my own title I the fonts work, but many of the built in titles have this issue.
