Using the Brydge 12.9 Keyboard with iPad Pro

I have a Brydge 12.9 Keyboard that is about 2-3 years old. For the first time it runs words together without spaces only in my Overdrive App. This happens when I try to do a search for a title of a book. I also observed that it creates a Blue border around some pages. How can I get the space bar to work in that app?
