my brand new series 5 watch can’t pair my iPhone ever since I bought it. When I try pairing, a pop up comes that I must update my phone before I can pair the watch. But the phone is already updated to iOS 13.7. What should I do?

Forgive me, but you’ve obviously already restarted both? Does the message ever change? And you’re sure both the phone and watch are fully updated (not just one?!
Same situation with you. I just got my apple watch Series 5 and pair my iphone X with IOS 13.7 version. Keep telling me need to updatemy phone before pair the watch. Pls help!
