My iPhone 13 pro refuses to pair with my watch. I'm in a loop of beginning to pair, it saying it needs a software update, and being unable to finish the software update because it needs an iPhone to complete the software update. I've tried to re-pair it to my old phone and update it before re-pairing it with the 13 but that won't work. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I just purchase an apple watch series 3 nike edition. I tried to paired it but my apple watch dont want to pair. I also tried paring it manually it needs to update the software of the apple watch. I tried everything what I waste. Now I need to sell my apple watch series 3 for me to buy a new one because I cannot use it with my new iphone 13 pro.

FWIW, a lot of people have problems updating a series 3 watch due to insufficient memory. In some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)
