Today in trying to send a Pages invoice , the top bar 'shared' now says ( collaborate with others) rather
than the drop down email to pdf export menu. Has something changed in the last week? this is the way I've been sending invoices for years. Any ideas?

It sounds as if you may have had Send a Copy in your toolbar, which looks like this on my machine:
To restore that to the Toolbar you can go in your menu to View > Customize Toolbar ... and drag Send a Copy up into the Toolbar.
Or you can File > Print ... > PDF and choose Send in Mail.
