I have an Apple TV 4K and Spectrum. When I watch a recorded program it sometimes jumps back to the start, freezes, has sound and picture out of sync, fails to show the picture to match where I am while fast forwarding, and in general falls far short of the experience I had with the DVR I had with DirecTV (which I had to give up because trees grew and blocked their satellite). Help!

Please discuss this with Spectrum, as it is their service, their recordings, and their app.
I am having the same issue.... according to Spectrum, this is an issue with the apple tv, and I would tend to agree. The dvr playback works just fine on my phone, my husband's phone, and our iPad. We only have the issue when watching from the apple tv
Thanks for the reply. I’ve talked with Spectrum. They disavow any responsibility for the Apple TV. One of their techs went so far as to say that buying the Apple TV from Spectrum was the same as buying it from Walmart; if there’s a problem, call Apple. The tech was not proud of his employer.
Thanks for the reply. I have upgraded to a mesh network which sped things up but I’m still having a bad time with the playback. I’ve talked to the people at the local Spectrum store but they say the solution is to stop using the Apple TV and rent several of their DVRs (@$20/month each).
You should call back and speak to another tech at Spectrum or elevate the issue with their senior support staff.
Another thing to look at is your network. Many new Apple TV users think having a fast internet connection is all that is needed. The speed of a network is important but it is only one factor to consider. The most important thing to consider is bandwidth, does your current network provide strong bandwidth throughout your home? To measure you need a tool such as iStumbler (Mac OS) to measure.
I found in my home I did not have great bandwidth so I upgraded to a Mesh network and my system works 100% perfectly now.
